PIXEL THEORY
PIXEL THEORY LAUNCHES SEPTEMBER 5
focusing on the fundamental building block of the crisp and high-resolution imagery, “the pixel” becomes both a unit and a universe, a singular square with infinite potential.
By bringing “the pixel” into three dimensions—something usually perceived as two-dimensional, the collection is a unique modular furniture series that takes shape directly from its digital origins. Across seating, lighting, and tables, the collection proposes objects that function as collectible furniture while also forming part of a larger grid of permutations. Referencing early video game aesthetics, the series collapses logic and play, function and imagination, into an open-ended investigation of form and resolution.
MODULAR FURNITURE
With Pixel Theory, I approach object-making with a simple logic: pixelated, modular, system-based, and open to variation. For the debut, the pieces are based on 3-tier resolutions of 5 cm, 10cm and 20cm between the seating, the floor lamp, the pendant light, the table lamp and the side table crossing between wood and velvet.
